EC’s website gives an overview on the innovation policy tools, on the innovation facts, figures, analyses and on the overall support of innovation through a series of initiatives.
- PRO INNO EUROPE ®
ProINNO website describes the DG initiative which is constituted by three pillars (analysis, learning and development) of different modules each, seeking to become a focal point of innovation policy throughout Europe. Major innovation trends are recorded through INNO Policy TrendChart and innovation performance of Member States is benchmarked through the European Innovation Scoreboard.
- Enterprise Europe Network
The Enterprise Europe Network is the largest network of contact points providing information and advice to EU companies on EU matters, in particular small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
- Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI)
The Executive Agency for Competitiveness & Innovation (EACI) was set up by the EC to deliver efficiently high-quality European programmes and initiatives in using smart energy and renewables and creating eco-innovative technology markets. EACI is currently managing on behalf of EC a number of programmes such as the Intelligent Energy – Europe, the Marco Polo (New Ways to a Green Horizon), the Enterprise Europe Network (Business Support at Your Doorstep) and the Eco-innovation (When Business Meets the Environment).
- European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT)
EIT aims to grow and capitalise on the innovation capacity and capability of actors from higher education, research, business and entrepreneurship (EU and beyond) through the creation of highly integrated Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs). The website gives access to the users on important documents relevant to KIC proposals.
- Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) 2007- 2013
CIP aims to bring together into a common framework, specific Community support programmes and relevant parts of other Community programmes, critical to boosting European productivity, innovation capacity and sustainable growth, whilst simultaneously addresses complementary environmental concerns. One programme under CIP is the ICT Policy Support Programme (http://ec.europa.eu/ict_psp).
- European portal for SMEs
A comprehensive website with a number of specific links and on-line tools which can help small and medium-sized enterprises to get an overview or detailed information on the whole spectrum of EU policies, legislation, programmes and initiatives relevant to Europe's SMEs.
- Innovating Regions in Europe
The website brings together around 235 member regions of the IRE Network (Member States, Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey ) with a rich database on regional innovation projects, articles, working groups, news and a mutual learning platform for research and innovation in EU regions.
