During the forum the emphases were focused on supporting service innovation better. This can be achieved by e.g. benefiting innovation management, activating role of regions, observing client needs, utilizing social media and securing the accesses to finance. The societies are changing rapidly and the world is full of opportunities for services innovations. Therefore in his opening remarks Mr. Reinhard Büscher from the European Commission DG Enterprise and Industry encouraged the KIS partnerships funded under the Europe INNOVA Initiative to maximize their impact, to get the best of their projects. Service innovation is finally getting the political recognition it deserves. However, there still is a lot to learn in developing and supporting service innovation. There is still a journey ahead of us, but we are definitely on the right track.
