Call for the expression of interest to host trans-regional events under the Eco-IP
The ECOLINK+ project of the European Eco-Innovation Platform (Eco-IP) has launched a call for expression of interest for identifying suitable members of the ECOLINK+ Business Club for emerging and promising eco-innovators.
The objective of this call for expression of interest is to promote eco-innovation in regions by identifying suitable members of the ECOLINK+ Business Club for emerging and promising eco-innovators. Regions may identify suitable members of the ECOLINK+ Business Club for emerging and promising eco-innovators by organising an event with the assistance of the project ECOLINK+.
To this aim, this call for expression of interest supports the organisation of seven trans-regional meetings aimed at showcasing local companies active in the area of eco-innovation and addressing how they can be supported in a regional context. The seven meetings should be held in the period June 2010 to December 2011 in European regions with a strong interest and track record in supporting the growth and expansion of eco-innovative companies and/or in the transformation of traditional manufacturing industries towards a “greener” economy.
It is expected to have three events organised in 2010 and four events in 2011.
This call for expression of interest is addressed to interested regional innovation agencies and development agencies, chambers of commerce, other public or private innovation support providers like cluster organisations, incubators or similar, who are active in supporting eco-innovative companies in their regions to grow and internationalise. They are called upon to express their interest to become local partners and hosts of a trans-regional event on supporting eco-innovation, together with the ECOLINK+ consortium.
Regions that already can establish a list of suitable candidates without organising any event may apply directly for considering their eco-innovators as potential club members. This may be the case for regions which already were able to identify suitable candidates through an event, a competition, a survey, a study or whatever other way.
The call will be open until 30 June 2011. Applications will be evaluated in the same order they will be received.
Responses must consist of at least two participants as specified above from two EU regions. Expression of interest should be sent by email at ECOLINK+@meta-group.com.
